Last weekend, we ventured into the desert to gather together to celebrate love, friendship and good food.  A few months back, two good friends joined together in that life long partnership called marriage, many miles away.  Leigh and Leah Parker were married on the Gold Coast of Australia on April 23rd 2015.  I was more than devastated when I realized I was not going to be able to make their wedding and quickly decided with my friend Ariya that we would just have to plan our own celebration for them here, when Leah returned.  You see, Leah has been gone for the past 16 months waiting for her visa to be approved and we have all missed her beautiful smile, amazing energy and loving heart.  I knew I wanted to give them both a gift we could all share in and have as a memory together.  So we booked an airbnb in Joshua Tree, and Ariya and I got to planning.  Here is our small gathering in Joshua Tree.

As the sun began to set we prepared our belly's for the feast and dressed our heads with flowers.   The night went as planned with a sunset cocktail hour and dinner under the stars...

We drank Ginger + Thyme infused White Wine Spritzers w/ Lemon + Edible Flowers

And then we finished the night off with star gazing, games and lots of laughing.
