Silver Rose Milk Elixir

After all of the chaos and stress this past week has brought -- I think we all need a little bit of sweet sweet wellness to soothe our souls.  This time, we have concocted a little elixir that is jam-packed full of all around goodness.  In this Silver Rose Milk Elixir you will find muddled berries, milk thistle tea, white rosebud tea, rhubarb preserves, rose water, colloidal silver and toped with vanilla macadamia-nut milk.  A great wellness cocktail to put you to bed or soothe your liver and belly after a bit too much fun.

So you ask-why bother making this elixir?? I find it sometimes hard to always be ingesting all of the supplements and vitamins I wish to be taking on a daily basis.  Especially when, maybe I also can't stomach their taste. I struggle with milk thistle -- I also struggle with consistently intaking enough berries and lets be real-- I never eat rhubarb.  By missing out on barley intaking these herbs and fruits, I am missing out on so many amazing natural remedies and preventatives.

If I start to make these elixirs on a daily basis, mixing up their contents here and there, then I automatically begin a health regime that also tastes like a dream.

Please read through the below benefits this drink has to offer--

Milk Thistle

“The Protection Plant”

The seeds of the Milk thistle plant have been used for over 2,000 years to help protect the liver from toxins. Which means it is a great hang over remedy.  Several scientific studies suggest that substances in milk thistle (especially a flavonoid called silymarin) protect the liver from toxins, including certain drugs, such as acetaminophen (Tylenol), which can cause liver damage in high doses. Silymarin has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. And it may help the liver repair itself by growing new cells.  Early laboratory studies suggest that silymarin and other active substances in milk thistle may have anti-cancer effects. These substances appear to: Stop cancer cells from dividing and reproducing, shorten the lifespan of cancer cells and reduce blood supply to tumors.  Some studies suggest silymarin may favorably supplement sunscreen protection and may help reduce the risk of skin cancer. Other studies suggest milk thistle acts synergistically with chemotherapy.
