Eternal Child X United by Blue : Winter Coolers

EC_ORANGE BLOSSOM -7509T.jpg

I know the winter norm is to drink away the blues with some warm beverages.  But this little lady always prefers a chilled cocktail to keep warm with. Yes - I know that may sound like a bit of a juxtaposition- but hey it works. A nice chilled, spiced drink, fireside is definitely my jam.

We teamed up with United By Blue to put together some of our winter favorites paired perfectly in their rad copper tumbles. I thought long and hard about all of the flavors that made me think of winter and ended up putting together something botanical and something sweet.

Orange Blossom Aperol Gin Spritz

Oranges are a big part of the new year for me.  I dunno if it is because I grew up in south Florida with an orange grove in biking distance or that citrus pairs so well with spiced, but its probably the first thing that came to mind. That ofcouse simply had to go with my favorite spirit, gin. I am a big fan of the botanical. You can see the recipe for this Orange Blossom Aperol Gin Spritz on the United by Blue blog here

WINTER WHISKEY COOLER

The second drink on the menu is my version of a winter whiskey cooler - with flavors of apple, almond and the slightly bitter floral flavor of Pimm's No. 1.  I became a big fan of the "one of a kind" taste of Pimms No. 1 durning my years studying in Liverpool, England. This drink reminds me of bitter cold nights spent in ancient pubs, keeping warm with some whiskey and Pimm's. Best if drank out of copper mugs and next to a warm fire.
