Drink Beautifully
Who doesn’t love a little spiced cuppa sanity of this holiday of feasting ?! I know I do. I also live for the classic seasonal punches and ciders. So I thought maybe it was time to bring you three of my favorite cocktails.
Something to warm your soul this holiday season.
The cherry blossoms have bloomed and the spring weather has begun to feel like summer, so I felt it was only appropriate to spend the afternoon in the sun sipping tart cheery + watermelon rose cocktails, while reading the new issue of Bon Appetit magazine.
Easter is tomorrow and it has me thinking of eggs and carrot and all things spring. I have been a lover of fresh juice for many years, a carrot, orange, ginger mix has always been my go to. So I naturally thought — now how to make that into a naughty brunch worthy cocktail, perfect for my gathering on easter Sunday. A simple cocktail, that’s not too sweet.
Welcome to an eternal child get-a-way - a desert time machine -tiki dinner and weekend in joshua tree.
What is better in summer than Sangria? I'm always looking for ways to mix it up and create new inventive drinks. Sangria being one of my classic - easy , go -to drinks, I tend to make it often. Especially when a group is involved. This time, I wanted to combine sangria, with two of my favorite components-- strawberry and rose. If you have been following us, you know that whenever there is an opportunity to use rose, I usually will take it and this is one of those moments.
Lemonade is kinda one of the best - refreshing drinks, ever created. There is literally an endless array of options when it comes to spicing it up as well, and this time -- lemongrass was the obvious choice. It's super simple and add's a bit of a kick to the already delicious drink. If you choose to squeeze your own, or buy a freshly squeezed carton- there is no way to go wrong. Make sure to decorate it and use some extra fresh lemongrass as stirs!
Part two of Chelsey Rose Health and our Christmas Morning Menu-- try our homemade Peppermint Chocolate Latte's -- or Peppermint Chocolate milk, for those caffeine free kids. I--- like many other's, absolutely die for a peppermint mocha latte the minute they are available in the shops. So I figured-- why not make one myself to share in the comfort of my own home with my friends and family on christmas.
After all of the chaos and stress this past week has brought -- I think we all need a little bit of sweet sweet wellness to soothe our souls. This time, we have concocted a little elixir that is jam-packed full of all around goodness. In this Silver Rose Milk Elixir you will find muddled berries, milk thistle tea, white rosebud tea, rhubarb preserves, rose water, colloidal silver and toped with vanilla macadamia-nut milk. A great wellness cocktail to put you to bed or soothe your liver and belly after a bit too much fun.
With the holidays literally at out doorstep, I find myself entertaining the most this time of year. With that comes lots of friends, lots of food and lots of boozing. Which also adds up to lots of dollars. A great way to save and also make something that everyone is a fan of is with sangria. I am a big fan of drinkable -- drinks, ones that are easy, light and can last you the day with only a little bit of tipsy. This is a take on a previous Bourbon-Spiced Sangria from last year, except this time we are using Pear.
Tis the season to gather. That's what I like most about the fall. Yet another reason to set the table, jump in the kitchen and try out some new seasonal recipes. On this occasion, I spent the afternoon with fitness and health guru Chelsey Rose, browsing the the farmers market, testing out some new recipes and setting a simple sleek fall table. I am overjoyed to be working with this beauty, bringing some simple and healthy , seasonal appetizers your way. The perfect collection of snacks for a weekend gathering with friends.
As summer is quickly ending and the cool breezes of fall begin to blow, we start to see the seasonal change in our back yards and at the grocery. However, as we still have a good few weeks of warm weather at bay, I have created the perfect exchange of season spritzer that will cool you on a hot September day and help bring in fall.
Just because you are off the grid, fireside and rugged-- does not mean you have to dumb down your drink of choice.
Welcome to my holiday cocktail party — a night of nostalgia with my favorite cocktails and easy to drink beverages that are in NO WAY fancy, but in every way fun! These 6 drinks will make any day festive, especially when styled with all these throwback gems and colors.
